The Gudjar are a species of bipedal bovine originating from the world of Cradle in the Eltheen system. They are the dominant species in the United Herds of Eltheen nation.

Cradle was a lush and highly productive agricultural world farmed over ten thousand years ago by the Ye-Endi civilization. The planet was farmed for the most part by automatous marvels, with only a small crew of technicians overseeing operations in a facility on the surface.

During what Ye-Endi texts describe as 'an unfortunate event', an ecological disaster mutated much of the life on the planet. Many of the resulting horrors of this time did not survive, but some did, such as the Gudjar: a fusion of bovine and humanoid DNA who would rise to become the dominant species on the planet.

The Ye-Endi are long gone, remembered only by the few relics left behind on the worlds they once controlled like Cradle, but their legacy endures in species like the Gudjar.
