Mismatched colors and materials, these ships look like a warped, sad display to most, but to a Karth these hulls are a symbol of victory, of conquest. Wearing one's opponent is considered the highest honor to be gained from combat.

A Scrapper's hull is an ever-growing carapace of metal. The Hume Engines massively reduce the weight of the ship's affect on their propulsion, so increasingly heavy hulls don't lose as much mobility. Typically the ship will eject Karths to acquire metal from any metal they pass in space that's safe to acquire. Such a job is seen as easy and desirable, since it's basically gorging yourself on as much food as possible while foraging and then bringing it home to build your ship out of. These ships have been used to exterminate Titanium Terrors for centuries, their offensive and defensive armaments remaining in their infancy due to the weakness of their foes.
