Murust

Murust is a binary star system in the galactic southwest, close to the galactic core. It is owned by the Collective Caretakers of Hathrador, who have colonized the planet Gravilthir.

History

At the center of the Murust system, two stars orbit each other: a red dwarf and a yellow dwarf. This results in the system's planets often not experiencing a true night, and instead a period of only dim, red light. Gravilthir, the third planet from the suns, is conventionally habitable (albeit cold).

Gravilthir

Due to its distance from the binary stars, Gravilthir experiences an almost perpetual winter. Its desolate surface is covered in snow and ice, but it is possible to find shelter and warmth in deep cave systems. There is no native sapient species, and the animals that live on Gravilthir either are either adapted to extreme cold or to a subterranean life.

It was the second planet to be colonized by the CCH, after Asinir in the Yrgel system. A few caves have been used as Sanctuaries, and experiments with Sanctuaries on the surface are ongoing.

Both Gravilthir's wildlife and Murust's binary stars provide useful scientific insight.
